Change scene with iPhone for live performance

Hi, can i switch from Scene to scene with touchable pro and iPhone.
For example
scene 1 = Song 1
scene 2 = Song 2

I use Ableton for live playing on stage.

If the Macbook is far away - i am blind - i am switching scenes with midi controller - but i cannot see which scene i selected. It would be also ok spongy to “see” which scene is selected and changing is going with my Midi-KEyboard. Just to see which scene is selected.

so looking on the iPhone would be nice to be sure which song i selected

Next Question - do i need to connect the iPhone and macbook mit USB on stage because there is no Wlan or can i make a hotspot Macbook and iPhone

theoreticaly yes to all. in practice your results may vary. i believe there is a return window on the appstore so you can just give it a try. The app is a little buggy and there is no support, i made it work for myself decently but i am on windows using a touchscreen on the same device as ableton.

You can control scene launch from iPhone, cause you obtain a mirroring of the Mac’s session view, with the scenes in sequential order, and ya, you can connect your smartphone via hot spot to the Mac. It works very well.

Sounds good thank u for Info

I can also Connect with USB?

Hi. I connect both IPhone SE and IPad Pro M2 via ethernet cable to Live 12 Suite running onWin 11 Pro new pc. All connected via a cheap gigabit switch. Also a second older win 7 pc get used sometimes. ( Running Audiogridder server, AG is a bit buggy). For short using ethernet to connect everything is, stable, responsive, lightning fast (1-2 ms latency), you can use long cabelruns. It’s the best way. Sometimes I go via usb from iPhone works also very well. A sidenote. My gigabit switch is connected to my main internetrouter wifi ax also gigabit, so I haven’t tested to use just the switch locally in my studio. But should work just as good since there’s no internet involved between Touchable Pro and Ableton Live. If you want me, I can test to disconnect the switch from the router and run the setup. Next time I’m in the studio. Cheers/Tord
