I can't connect

I’ve updated touchable for the first time in a while, but I can’t connect.
server status indicates that the apple usb driver could not be found
I downloaded itunes from your homepage and used it.
I really want to solve this.

The current version of my system is as follows.

ipad : v 14.3
touchable app : v 1.622

touchable pc server: v 1.623
itunes : 12.11.0.26

Hi, could you please install the lates Control Surface (Script)? It seems, like it’s outdated.

Hi pascal.

I reinstalled it and made the control surface v1623.
But I still get a message that I can’t find the apple usb driver.
And I couldn’t see the touchable in the preferences (Link Midi) of ableton live

I also found that the teVIRTUAL MIDI Driver x64 is not working properly in the device manager of my computer

Let me know if there’s any way I can solve it.

Hi

I reinstalled the rtp midi so I could use touchable in the preferences of live.
(control surface : yes v1623)
The device manager also confirmed that the rtp midi was being used normally.

But I still get a message that I can’t find the apple usb driver.
And the touchable is not connected either.

It would be better to have a description of how to set up the RTP MIDI on this homepage.

I hope to receive detailed information about the version of the program and how to update it when it needs to be updated.
(e.g. rtpMIDi is 00 version or higher)

It is very difficult to find pages that collect update history of TOUCHABLE in the forum. It would be convenient if you upload it to https://zerodebug.com/#/touchable whenever the version is updated.

Anyway, I want to use touchable because the problem with appleusb driver is solved.
Please give me a way to solve it.

Hey,

sorry for the inconvenience. Apple has changed some package signing requirements latetly that causes our latest server to not function properly. We will try to fix it asap and upload new server.

A version history for beta versions can be found on our homepage. We will create the same for release versions the next days.

I get the same behaviour except reported in the Server popup is:
Control Surface Reponding: Yes v 1562

Not sure why i have a different version to MC2000XL above. Do I need to reinstall something?

Install using the RTP MIDI version.

Configuration shown in the description of http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi/rtpmidi-tutorial.html was performed
(rtpmidi’s setup : my session’s / session …)

Note that when you run a touchable server without running ablton live, the Control Surface is marked yes 1523.

After running ablton live, the Control Surface is coming out well yes 1623.

Thanks for those tips. I removed rtpmidi and reinstalled. When I try create a session I get the message:
Bonjour-service-creation failed with: -65563

Looks like an issue with my Bonjour. I checked Services and Bonjour was set for manual and was not running. A started that. Repeating the rptMidi set-up now works, in that I do not get the error message. However I do not get any connected participants.

On checking my server popup with Ableton running and Touchable control surface selected, the message I now get is:
Control Surface Responding: Yes v 1631

I still do not have Touchable Script Input option in Midi In or Out?

1632 Server Does Not Work After Installing
So I installed the 1633 server, but it’s still in the “apple usb driver Not Found” state.

Hi,

could you please got to Apps & Features and check if those packages are available?

  • Apple Mobile Device Support 64bit
  • Apple Mobile Device Support 32bit
  • Apple Software Update
  • Apple Application Support
  • Bonjour

In case one package is missing please got to the touchable install folder -> dist -> bonjour and try to install the package manually,

Also make sure that you have installed our driver including the usb driver, if you haven’t install iTunes.

Itunes’ software is up to date (12.11.0.26).
The app and bonjour app you mentioned are all installed.
When I connected my ipad to usb, I saw storage on my computer.

You both seem to have the same issue.

please check, if you have installed the correct USB driver, touchable won’t work with all itunes versions.

If they have been installed please open the comand line and check, if they have been inlcuded in the registry properly, by entering these commands.

reg query “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Apple Inc.\Apple Mobile Device Support” /v “Version”
reg query “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Apple Inc.\Apple Application Support” /v “Version”
reg query “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Apple Inc.\Bonjour” /v “Version”

Apple Mobile Device Support should be version 13.5.1.2
Apple Application Support should be version 8.5
Bonjour should be version 3.1.0.1v
