"Import image" in button properties pannel

Hi all !
I saw that we will be able to “import image” for button…(it does not work yet on the windows app and on ipad let you choose it but nothing happen)
That’s a point i would like to talk about with you .
That’s the most “customizable” propertie for me.
and it’s only for button. But if it would be possible to do it for each object…
you can image to create “devices” that totally looks like whatever we want … and share it !
Then my question is . Is it possible to import images for container, rotaries, faders etc etc ?..
i would love to create advenced design based on bitmap for control devices with touchable pro !
that would be AWESOME !

Hi,

we will have a look into it on windows. On iOS it already works. What happens if you tap on ‘Import Image’?

It is not yet possible to import images for all controls. But I put it on our list, we will look if it is feasible.

Hello Pascal !
Sorry but , on the ipad i managed to import one picture of 150X150 pixels within google drive. In Jpg format and it appeared in the selection box near the button and after selecting it, added it to the button (and that was like “OOOH YESSS!!!”) but that’s all.
After that, I could not manage to import another picture whatever the format.
I tried another pic at 250X250 , and reduce it to 200X200 , and finally tried again with the same other pic at 150X150 and nothing appeared in the selection box.
nothing more than my first pic of 150X150 that is still selectable.
google drive selection box appear, i can select a picture but it does not appear in touchable selection box where the first picture is.
And yes that would be incredible to have it , first for container i think.

OH YES !!!
In fact , i accidentaly import a png file first time and i just see that.
Now i tried to import another one in png format…AND IT WORKS!!!

edit : i tried to use a button as a background picture to put rorary button on it…but it does not work. the rotary is under the button…LOL !!!
I stop here for now one thing at a time

edit 2 : in fact it’s upper the button but under the picture to be more precise ;)…

BUT ! Alpha channel works !!! lol

even if it’s not useable for now , it’s sooo promising !
i stop testing for now , waiting for your updates .
oh yes ,The app(ipad 2) crashes when i select a color for the background of the button when there is no color (all square of the color picker are black cause i’m not connected to ableton live)
