scenes names and colors do not show up anymore

Hi everybody,

I’m a long time user of touchable since version 1 in 2010 and I’m very happy with it.
But for a couple months now I’ve got a very annoying problem with touchable pro.
As shown on the pic below, scenes names and colors do not show up anymore in the master section. I’ve got a pretty large live set and I use touchable pro on 3 devices:
Ipad 6 - ipados 14.2
Ipad mini 1 - ios 9.3.5
Iphone XR - ios 14.2
Macbook pro mid-2010 - macos 10.13.6

Ableton Live 10.1.30
server 1.622

I’ve got the same issue with all my 3 different devices. I tried to reinstall live, reinstall app on all the devices, downgrade the version server. Nothing changed! Same issue!
Touchable pro is my main controller on stage that’s why it’s very disturbing to navigate across my long live set without name and color scenes.

I really need to fix that issue. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

could you actiate the log mode via the servers context menu and send us the log file, you will find it here:

/Users/<>/Library/Preferences/Zerodebug/TouchAble

Thank you very much Pascal for your response.
I try to copy and paste the whole log file but it is too large.
So, here is the log file via Dropbox:

Hi,

thanks for the log, seems like the connections drops because the scripts sends a message, that exceeds the maximum package size:

You probably have a huge collection.

Could you please try the latest server i attached. In case it still fails, please upload another log, i reworked the logging, to exactly identify the browser item that causes the connection to drop.

I installed the new server 1.633 and reinstalled the app on all my devices.
But the issue is still there. So, here is a new log:

there must be something with your samples library, could you please upload a screenshot displaying abletons clips folder (screenshot of Live with open clips folder).
The connection drops when right after the script sent information about the clips folder (see attached log, after that it should send the sample folder), then the server reconnects to the script. Unfortunately the Scenes are right after the browser, which does not happen in your case.

The attached server will fix this issue, but you browser will be incomplete. Could you upload a Live log, too please.

Hi Pascal.
Thank you for your fast reply.
Unfortunately I’m not able to install your latest 1.634 server. My old 2010 MBP says it requires at least macos 10.15 for the installation and I’m stuck under macos 10.13.6.
Is it possible to have a 10.13.6 compatible version?

I spent a couple days testing your last 1.635 server with various live sets configurations and it seems you definitely solve my problem! The scenes names and colors are back!
