Server Fails to Launch

Windows 10 20H2 w/ Latest Updates

I installed 1.633 in preparation for Live 11. When I let it launch after finishing the installer, it popped up in my system tray and then disappeared. I tried to launch it manually, same thing. I downgraded back to server version 1.623 and it fails to launch as well. Thinking maybe something is wrong with my desktop, I try it on my laptop. Nope, same issue there. I check the Event Viewer and find that, sure enough, it is crashing. Besides the version number of touchAbleServer.exe, the error looks the same for either version and on both my laptop and desktop. Always faulting on “KERNELBASE.dll” which, when I look in my System32 folder, says it was updated 2/10/2021. So I am guessing a recent Windows update broke it. Any ideas?

Hey,

sorry for the inconvenience. I cannot really help you with this. Maybe try to fully deinstall touchAble and all of it’s dependencies iTunes / virtualMIDI.

Best
