Hi everyone,
I’m having some trouble getting touchAble Pro to connect properly with Ableton Live 11, and I was hoping someone here might be able to help.
I’ve followed the setup instructions carefully:
- Installed the latest touchAble Server on my Windows 10 machine.
- Verified that both my PC and iPad (running iOS 17) are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Allowed the server through my firewall and checked that no other apps are blocking it.
- Installed the latest touchAble script inside Ableton’s MIDI Remote Scripts folder.
Despite all this, the app on my iPad sometimes fails to detect the server, or if it does, the connection drops after a few minutes. Other times, it connects but doesn’t properly control Ableton (e.g., faders don’t respond, clips don’t launch).
I’ve tried:
- Restarting both devices and my router.
- Using a different Wi-Fi network.
- Connecting via USB, but the app still won’t detect the server.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Could this be related to specific network settings, firewall rules, or a bug in the latest version?
Any troubleshooting tips or alternative fixes would be greatly appreciated!
